Law on confiscated cars issued in Dubai

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, in his capacity as Ruler of Dubai, issued on Wednesday a law on dealing with confiscated cars.
The Law No. 23 of 2015 stipulates that a committee will be set up in Dubai Police through a resolution issued by the Dubai Police Chief.

The committee’s members will include representatives from Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, Public Prosecution and other relevant bodies.



The committee will be tasked with assessing and appraising confiscated cars, and ensured that the cars are not impounded by any other body by coordinating with the relevant authorities in the emirate, including specialised judicial bodies.
